EVERYDAY GREATNESS SERIES... My father once told me "son, if one thing does not work, try another". No matter what comes your way in life, look for a solution or find an alternative. Learn to improvise, even if you have to do so from "thin air", forget the past, look ahead. There is no opportunities in the past, all opportunities are in the present or the future. Keep your eyes on the goal and do not relent, even if it takes a long while. But the reality is that nothing of great substance will happen untill we take charge of our life and accept responsibility for bringing our dreams to fruition. This efforts require fearless discipline and focused energy on what matters most. When life does not go our way, it is easy to make excuses, place blame on others, or argue that circumstances were against us. But we only progress in life to the extent that we take responsibility for our actions and attitudes, and put forth the initiative necessary to create our own circumstances.
